Sibéal is an Irish artist and maker based in Limerick, Ireland. She is a graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design with a BA in Photography, film & Video and an MA in Social Practice & the Creative Environment. She is a current member of Limerick Printmakers, Visual Artists Ireland and the Mná na nEalaín collective.

During her studies she specialised in darkroom photography and analogue processes, but also works through the mediums of digital photography, video, sound design, illustration and collage.

Her fine art practice is informed by irish history, mythology, feminism and our relationship with nature.

She won the Photoshop.ie Award for traditional darkroom work and created a photobook with PhotoIreland and Inspirational arts as part of the Inspirational Arts Photography Awards 2020 which she was a finalist of. In 2020 she was invited to take part in the Wom@rts training program, funded by Creative Europe with the aim of promoting equality and diversity in the arts sector across Europe.

Participants of this program formed their own collective Mná na nEalaín which aims to pursue womens' equal share of the arts in terms of visibility, promotion and access to the market, with female empowerment and professional training at its core. In 2022 Sibéal and seven other members of the collective organised their own exhibition "Bantracht" which is an old irish word translating to womenfolk or womenkind. This exhibition of work went on to be displayed in Treaty City Brewery in February 2023 as part of Limerick City & County Councils inaugural St. Brigids Festival.

Sibéal has recently taken part in PhotoIreland's "Photowalk" Event in Printworks, Dublin Castle as part of their 2022 Festival "Opening the gates" as well as PhotoIrelands "Halftone" Print fair which took place in The Library Project in Temple bar in October of 2022. She also created an outdoor mixed media installation which was displayed at last years Electric Picnic Festival.
